Faith and Blessings

How long has God desired to bless you? How long have you declined to take him up on his offer? Do you desire to be blessed by God? Do you know how God blesses you? Do you know the blessings that await you? Will you put your faith in him and receive his blessing?

Receiving a blessing from God is not hard, but it can be challenging. Receiving God’s blessing doesn’t require much from us, but it requires the most important part of us. Receiving God’s blessing may not magically fix everything, but it will give us what we long for most.

God stands ready to bless us in many ways and at all times. Don’t mistake this for a promise that you will never suffer through difficulties or that everything will be rosy. But you can count on God to be with you every step of the way, blessing you through whatever it is you go through.

To receive God’s blessing, we must give him our heart. We must trust him. We must put our faith in him. Faith is not merely believing but includes a trust that God is always there. Faith includes acting based on our belief. Sure, it starts with belief, but it does not end there. Belief and action make up our faith.

God blesses us with many blessings, including peace, comfort, mercy, grace, an inheritance, being filled, joy, love, reward, and being called his children. These blessings come in many forms and often unexpected. To see these blessings, we must open our eyes to God working in us. It may require us asking him to reveal his works multiple times before we begin to see them. But it is well worth our time and asking so that we see.

I pray we all put our faith in God. I pray we seek to receive his blessings. I pray each one of us will ask God to open our eyes to see his blessings and increase our faith. Desire God to bless you. Put your faith in him. Believe in and act with God. Ask God to open your eyes. See his blessings.

Galatians 3:7-9 Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.
